About Me:
I did my Carpentry Apprentice at Elvin's in Birmingham over 40 years ago, I have worked on stately homes, project managed house refurbishments and shop fitting, built a 6 bedroom house and created a successful double glazing company which I ran for 18 years.
Owning your own business comes with many stresses, from managing people to being floor sweeper, coffee maker and counsellor.
I have taken my role seriously over the years and implemented health and safety to keep my staff and customers safe.
When I started my business many moons ago there wasn't the resources out there to help you to understand all the responsibilities and legal requirements. Managing staff was definitely a lot harder and training was expensive and not as accessible. If you needed to train you had to take time out of work, which was impossible because who was going to run the business while you where away?
I have now created Controlled Environments Online Health and Safety Courses so that all this information is available to anyone that needs it at an affordable price.
I feel relieved that there is now so much information and training available online to help not only employers and employees access the knowledge and training they need but also anyone who feels that they need to know a little bit more about keeping themselves safe.

I trained in accounts when I was 17 (a long time ago!) the manual way, there were no computers then and everything had to balance to the penny.
I worked with John for 18 years building a double glazing business and then started a bookkeeping and payroll company helping my clients to build their business. I was their counsellor and right hand man. I helped them make decisions based on their financial situation and motivated them to reach their goals and create the future they dreamed of.
I have always had a passion to help others so while creating management accounts and spreadsheets I also trained in holistic therapies and created a therapy business in my spare time, I trained as a Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Coach and Crystal Healer.
I had a dream to own a Crystal Coffee Lounge, with cake, coffee, therapies and crystals, I'm not the type of person to just dream, once I know what I want I put 100% into making sure I can achieve it. I trained in Level 3 food and hygiene and obtained my Alcohol personal licence this is done by first taking the personal Licence Holder Course, now I have everything I need. That dream hasn't been realised yet but I'm ready!
I realised that it doesn't matter what line of work you are in you always need knowledge and training to keep yourself aware of any hazards.
Creating Controlled Environments Online Health and Safety training has made me feel that I can help business owners, employees and anyone with a dream to access resources and training that is now available online at an affordable price.
